The history of samba schools is inseparable from Carnival, with schools preparing throughout the year to win the competition for the best parade, combining samba, choreography, costumes, and participants (2,500 to 3,500 per school). We invite you to visit one of Rio’s best samba schools, Academicos de Grande Rio, in the City of Samba, to discover the school, the floats, the costumes, and learn all about Carnival and its origins.
And also, at another time and if you wish, take a samba class with a teacher before putting your skills into practice with them in the evening, in one of Rio’s many spots.
Rates
Prices depend on the season, the number of cumulative hours of visits and the number of people and whether there is a private transportation (car or van with driver).
