Your Santa Marta favela tour
Santa Marta, one of the first favelas of Rio, developed on a hill overlooking the district of Botafogo. We access it safely by a road that takes us to its summit to meet a local guide who is native to the favela. On the way down, we will walk through the winding dead ends and the narrow stairs that crisscross, its magnificent points of view and also Michael Jackson. Indeed his clip “They do not care about us” was shooted therein 1995. This community, by its construction, is the only one in Rio that we can only discover on foot, motorbikes and cars can not circulate it.
